How station routes are ranked
| Priority | Calculation | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Missing quantity coverage | Sum the outstanding units associated with each station type | Favors routes that can move the largest current bottleneck |
| Distinct material coverage | Count different missing items associated with that station | Favors one contract that can advance several requirements |
| Deterministic tie | Sort equal routes alphabetically | Keeps the same campaign state stable and shareable |
| Evidence gap | Keep unknown items as warnings | Prevents missing data from becoming a fabricated recommendation |
OFFICIAL GAMEPLAYTurn a ranked station into a mission plan
- 01
Confirm the target
The planner always chooses the first incomplete target. Reorder work by completing or removing an older target in My Campaign rather than mentally overriding the result.
- 02
Open each item note
Review categories, matching station types, version notes, and uncertainty for every missing material before accepting a contract.
- 03
Choose the safest qualifying contract
A top-ranked station type is not automatically worth a high-Technology, poor-counter, or irreplaceable-kit deployment. Run Mission Decision on the actual contract.
- 04
Update owned quantities
After extraction, change the owned number beside each recovered material. The missing math and station ranking update from the saved campaign state.
Why the best route is still a probability
Community category research narrows where an item belongs, but a station contains many rooms, containers, factions, and generated outcomes. The planner aggregates route coverage; it does not claim the next mission will contain the exact item or quantity.
Use the ranking to reduce aimless travel, then combine it with contract difficulty, faction goals, and the current patch. A lower-ranked safe mission can be the better campaign decision when the leading station has unacceptable Technology, opponent, Quasimorphosis, or loss exposure.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does the route planner know official ship recipes?
No. It uses requirements you copied from the live game and route evidence from the Item Finder. It does not maintain or invent a separate recipe table.
Why does one station appear above another?
It covers more total missing units, then more distinct missing items. Equal routes are sorted alphabetically so the recommendation remains deterministic.
